ASSISTANCE
TO KADURUPITIYA
LearnAid donated a brand new computer and two
used computers for use by the children at its primary school. LearnAid
also gave funds for the Computer Lab of the school to have a regular supply
of electricity. Three children, in addition, receive a
financial allowance from us every month.
In memory of the late Mr. Dominic Victor Rajamannar, a donation of shoes was
organised at the school. All the children received new shoes, with funds donated
by Mr. Victor Ramanan. LearnAid also organised a mango tree-planting
campaign at the school premises with Mr. Ramanan's financial support.
LearnAid has been helping children in Mahavilachchiya, Kadurupitiya
and Hingurkaduwa by giving computers, reading material and 'mini' scholarships.
Among the most under-privileged villages in Sri Lanka is Kadurupitiya, close
to the Wilpattu Wildlife Sanctuary.
