STUDENTS' DROP-IN CENTER
AT
Children
in countries other than Sri Lanka could receive help from LearnAid.
However, we need to have reliable individuals or groups locally who would coordinate
the work and monitor progress, to ensure the assistance is used as we intended.
STA. MAGDELENA, PHILIPPINES
The
construction of the building was completed as planned and the Students’
Drop-In Centre was opened on April 08, 2007. The present students and the school
administration as well as the past students of Class 82 who were behind the
initiative were most grateful to LearnAid for the help received.
Help from LearnAid has benefited schoolchildren in Philippines and
Pakistan, in addition to those in Sri Lanka.
LearnAid
financed the construction of the Students’ Drop-In Centre at SMHS Campus,
Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon, Philippines. We offered assistance to the students
of Sta. Magdalena in response to the request made by Tommy Alcancia, one of
our members and SMHS representative.
We
help the deserving in learning English language and computing skills.

is a multi-nationality, not-for-profit organisation, with members coming from

to regions beyond locations in the South Asia region.
