KETAWALA AND KADURUPITIYA
coordinated a tree-planting campaign in 2007. Every child planted
a mango tree at the school premises.
At Kadurupitiya Primary School, LearnAid
ICT
Agency of Sri Lanka, teachers, education officials and parents were involved
in organising the events at the local levels. Shoes at concessionary rates were
offered by D. Samson & Sons Ltd. to the Ketawala schools.
LearnAid helps coordinate events funded by individuals and groups that
aim to benefit schoolchildren. We have arranged shoe-donation and tree-planting
campaigns.
Children
at four schools in Kurunegala District, including Saraswathie Tamil Vidyalayam
and Ketawala Junior School, and Kadurupitiya Primary School (Anuradhapura District)
received a pair of shoes each at events arranged by LearnAid in 2005 and 2006.
We
help the deserving in learning English language and computing skills.
